If you read nothing else, please read these
next four policy requirements (they are expanded upon in further detail later):
You must be at least 25 years old to drive any of our cars, sorry, absolutely no exceptions. This means that even if someone else signs the contract, you can not drive.
You must have full coverage (includes collision and comprehensive with no more than a $1,000 deductible) to rent from us and meet our minimum requirement of $100,000/300,000 bodily injury and $50,000 property damage on your personal car.
Driver's License: All drivers MUST have a valid state driver's license. We do not accept International or Military Driver's Licenses. This license must not expire for the term of the rental and must be an original license. You must have a reasonable driving record (no DUIs, Reckless Driving, etc.)
Deposit Requirements: There is a $2,500 Deposit required for any of our vehicles. This is called an authorization and will be placed onto your major credit card which will freeze the $2,500 on your total credit line for about 7 business days.
Q: Do you offer gift certificates?
A: Absolutely, we offer a gift certificate for the rental of a particular car for a particular period (week-day, weekend-day, weekend, etc.) and we also can issue a gift certificate in any denomination.
Q: How much do you charge to deliver/pick-up a vehicle to/from Newark or Philadelphia airports? (See next paragraph for other delivery options)
A: We will Deliver/Pick-up at local airports to meet renters flying in, otherwise we can Deliver/Pick-up at your residence or place of business. Fees for Delivery/Pick-up to Newark Airport or Philadelphia Airport each way: $150.00 plus tax. These fees may be waived/reduced depending on length of rental.
Q: Can you arrange to deliver or pick up the Vehicle? What is the cost?
A: Exotic Car Rentals of New Jersey will deliver/pick-up the rental car to your residence, place of business, hotel, train stations and local airports (Newark, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Mercer County airports). Depending on the length of the rental, the delivery/pick-up fee may be waived/reduced. Otherwise, this fee will be added to the rental contract and charged to your credit card. We charge $3.00 plus tax per mile each way to deliver or pick-up a vehicle (see above paragraph for local airport rates for renters flying in). Pick-up/Delivery fees may be waived/reduced depending on length of rental and/or distance involved.
Q: Will your rates change?
A: All printed or quoted rates are subject to change without notice. Special offers may expire at any time. However, if we have confirmed your reservation and taken the $100 reservation deposit, your rate is guaranteed and will not change.
Q: Why does it cost so much to rent one of your cars?
A: First of all, check out our Why Rent page, you'll see that it really isn't as expensive as you think. Second, because we specialize in just a few very finely equipped and maintained cars, our overhead is much, much more than your friendly Enterprise or Budget location. Third, our insurance is astronomically high - think about it, we're making unique, high-end cars available to everyone, not just for the rich and famous. If you're considering a rental as a gift and the cost is too high, think about including someone else with you in the purchase such as a parent, sister, brother, etc. Finally, consider what it would cost to take a hot air balloon ride - what does it cost when you're on vacation and you go para-sailing for 15 minutes? How much does the rental of a jet ski cost for an hour? What does a really classy meal with a fine wine and dessert cost at a 4 or 5 star restaurant? Our rentals are much more memorable and cost effective if you think about it. And if you're considering the rental for yourself, remember, you're worth it.
Q: How many Miles come with each rental day?
A: This varies, please look at our rates where we indicate included miles. In general, 3 day weekend packages include some additional miles as does our weekly rentals.

Q: If I don't qualify to rent a vehicle because of my age (I'm not yet 25 years old), can someone who is older than me rent the vehicle for me?
A: No. The rental contract grants permission to those drivers specifically identified on the rental contract and absolutely no one else is permitted to drive the rental car. Under no circumstances will any substitution of drivers be permitted for anyone not identified on the contract. It is extremely important to note that substitution of unauthorized drivers is illegal, any insurance coverage that may have been in place will be void and you and the listed renter would be leaving yourselves personally vulnerable to any and all losses that may be incurred in the event of an accident. Exotic Car Rentals of New Jersey will pursue both criminal and civil remedies in the event such substitution takes place.
Q: What are the Driver's License Requirements? What about clients who live in foreign countries?
A: All drivers MUST have a valid state driver's license. We do not accept International or Military Driver's Licenses. This license must not expire for the term of the rental and must be an original license. Licenses with any kinds of alterations will not be accepted.
Q: I have a lot of tickets/accidents, can I still qualify?
A: It depends. If you have an assigned risk rating through your insurance carrier, you will not qualify. If you have 3 or more tickets on your record during the last 3 years, you will not qualify. If you have had DUI-DWI type convictions, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident or serious tickets like these in the past 5 years, you will not qualify. Also, you can not have had any criminal conviction in the past 5 years to rent. Concerning accidents, there are no set rules so each case will be considered individually.

Q: What are the Deposit Requirements?
A: We take an initial $100 as a Reservation Deposit to reserve the car. When you come in for the rental, we charge the balance of the rental to your credit card. Also, there is a $2,500 Deposit required for any of our vehicles. This deposit will be placed on your valid major credit card the day of your rental. This authorization will be placed onto your credit card which will freeze the $2,500 on your total credit line for about 7 business days. After this period, you will receive your credit line back assuming the car is returned in the same condition as when it was rented, it was returned on time, free miles were not exceeded, it was returned with at least the same amount of gas as when it left (unless you purchase a full tank at the time of rental) and any tickets you may have received during the rental have been paid for. At least 50% of the deposit must be placed on your credit card, the balance may be in cash.
Q: Is there any way I can put down all cash for my deposit?
A: No. We require that at least 50% of the deposit be placed on your credit card.
Q: Can I use a debit card or a check card?
A: We do NOT accept debit cards or check cards except under special circumstances (please let us know if you wish to use a debit card in advance), only valid credit cards with a sufficient available limit for the entire rental charge as well as the deposit required (described above under Deposit Requirements) - however, we will accept cash as payment for the rental in advance with prior notice. The card for the reservation and payment for the rental may be in someone else's name (gift for example), but at least half of the deposit must be made by the actual driver(s) on their own credit card unless special arrangements are made with us. As described above under Deposit Requirements, cash may be used for half of your deposit, but a credit card in the driver's name must be used for the balance. We accept VISA, Master Card, Discover
and American Express. Once you make a reservation with us, a reservation confirmation will be mailed to your address that will confirm your rental dates and times.

Q: What are the Insurance Requirements?
A: All renters must have full coverage (comprehensive and collision with no more than a $1,000 deductible) on their current car insurance policy to rent from us with Liability limits of at least $100,000/$300,000 and $50,000 of Property Damage to qualify AND this coverage MUST be transferable to the rental. If you have personal auto coverage (see next question about new insurance) but you don't currently meet the full requirements set out above, check with your insurance agent to see about increasing your limits. Sometimes increasing limits can be extremely inexpensive and can be completed with a single telephone call. We do not accept rental customers who have a high risk insurance rating. If you use a company's vehicle policy or have a policy that will not transfer to the rental car, you must have your insurance company place our vehicle on your policy for the duration of the rental.
BUT SEE NEXT PARAGRAPH ABOUT CREDIT CARD INSURANCE
Q: I have automatic coverage on my credit card, is this
ok even if I don't have coverage or enough coverage on my own insurance?
A: Most credit cards will not cover our cars at all since they
are exotic cars or because the value of our cars exceeds their coverage
limits. However, if you have an American Express card, you can purchase
their Premium Rental Car Loss and Damage Plan that will cover all of our cars
up to $100,000 (the cost is very modest, inquire for details). So if you
have the required liability coverage and the AmEx Premium Plan, you'll be
covered for the majority of our fleet (but not our higher priced cars).
Q: I just got my insurance policy, is this a problem?
A: You must have had your policy active with the same insurance company for a period of 3 months or more.
Q: Don't you sell insurance, can't I buy coverage from you?
A: While we are now offering for a modest fee additional Collision Insurance with a $250 deductible, this is intended to supplement your collision and comprehensive coverage. This is useful if you have a high deductible and can also keep minor accidents off of your personal policy. This insurance does NOT apply to our
Lamborghini or Maserati at this time. We do not sell Liability coverage at all.

Vehicles and Restrictions
Q: What kind of condition are your vehicles in?
A: All of our vehicles are 2006 or newer (most are 2007 or 2008) and are in excellent condition. We take pride in over-maintaining our vehicles so you get the freshest car possible. We run safety checks on all cars periodically, we meet or exceed all manufacturer's maintenance requirements and even measure tread depth of tires and tire pressure before each rental.
Q: Is off roading or racing permitted?
A: No, you will not be permitted to use the vehicle for off roading, racetrack, or illegal purposes. Violation of this is a breach of the rental contract and is expressly prohibited.
Q: Is smoking permitted in the vehicles?
A: No, smoking in not permitted. This is for the pleasure of all future renters. So, we can not allow smoking in our vehicles. If this policy is violated, a cleaning charge will apply.
Q: What happens if I'm involved in a traffic accident?
A: Number 1: seek medical attention if needed. Number 2: You MUST contact the police and file a police report. Then contact us so we are aware of the situation. Procedures to follow will be shown to you at the time of the rental and a copy will be in the glove box for reference.
Q: What should I do if my vehicle breaks down?
A: While it is unlikely this will happen (since all our vehicles are very new models), each vehicle is protected by 24 hour road-service plans covering items like breakdown, flats, being locked out, towing, and fuel delivery. Four of them include a notification system that just requires a push of a button. If you need to utilize this service in the others, you would call the phone number provided with the vehicle and help will be dispatched promptly. Procedures to follow will be shown to you at the time of the rental and a copy will be in the glove box for reference.
Q: Are there any Driving Area Restrictions?
A: You may drive without restrictions in all states with the exception of
Florida - under certain circumstances we will permit travel there as well but you must let us know in advance. If approved, we will give you written permission; but without prior approval, you are not permitted to travel into
Florida. You may also go to Canada. However, you may not leave the USA to enter Mexico.
Q: Will I know how to operate the vehicle's advanced features?
A: We require that all first time renters go through a 25-35 minute orientation on the vehicle that they will be renting. This is done so that you will be familiar on how to operate the car in a safe and efficient manner.

Q: Do you just have one location (Directions)?
A: Yes, at this time we currently only have one location in the Central New Jersey area. We're
currently located in Yardville, New Jersey, about half way between the Newark and Philadelphia Airports. From the NJ Turnpike, take exit 7A getting on to Route 195
West. Go about three miles and take EXIT 3A following signs to Yardville. Once
you've reached the traffic light, our facility is directly across the street
behind Picerno's Gas Station. We're at 4495 South Broad Street
(Rear Bldg), Yardville, NJ 08620. Go to our
Location page for directions from other locations.
Q: What are your Hours of Operation?
A: In general, our daily hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Saturday. We're closed on Sunday except for scheduled pick-ups or drop-offs. We offer after hours pick-up or drop-off but require prior notice, no exceptions. We suggest you call ahead if you plan to stop in as we might be out of the office delivering vehicles, performing maintenance, etc.
Q: Can I leave my vehicle on your premises during my rental?
A: Yes. However, we can not assume any liability while it is on our premises.
Q: If I live in the city, can I take a train out to your business?
A: Yes. We can arrange for you to be picked up at the Trenton, Hamilton or Princeton Junction train stations that are within 15 minutes of our location. There is no charge for this service.

Q: What's your policy about rain or other bad weather during the spring, summer or fall?
A: There are two ways to handle this. 1) Do nothing and tough it out. If you have very bad weather and don't make prior arrangements (see number 2 next), your rental will continue as usual but we will give you 10% off of another rental to help offset the agony of having a great car but not as much fun due to poor weather, or 2) You can purchase our "Rainy Day Insurance" (click to view document)- basically, you pay an extra
25% of the total rental and in the event of inclement weather, your rental will continue as usual but we'll give you a
free day - fine print: the next rental is defined as being for the same class of car and for the same type of rental (ex: if you had a 2 day weekend, you'd get the
a free 2 day weekend) and you must notify us during the rental of the inclement weather.
Q: What happens if it snows or there is freezing rain or sleet during the winter months?
A: We want you to be safe and will cancel the rental and offer a full refund.
Q: What is the Cancellation Policy for Reserved Vehicles?
A: Please recognize that this type of rental is for a unique and specialized vehicle and therefore, your reservation will be guaranteed and the rental vehicle will be held for you until the scheduled rental time. There is a $100.00 cancellation fee if the reservation is cancelled within 10 days of the rental period. A 50% charge of the total rental price will apply if you cancel within 5 days of the rental period. A 100% charge of the total rental price will apply if you cancel within 72 hours of the rental period or if you do not show up for the rental. Call from 9:00AM – 5:00PM Monday through Saturday to cancel.
Q: What is the Cancellation Policy for Gift Certificates?
A: Gift Certificates are not refundable and may not be cancelled. They may be transferred to another qualified renter but this requires the advanced approval of Exotic Car Rentals of New Jersey to ensure that the new renter meets all of the requirements described above such as age, driving record, insurance and available credit on a major credit card. Once a reservation has been made, the Cancellation Policy for Reserved Vehicles (above) would apply.
